"QB4ALL does an invaluable amount of good. Bright students can sometimes feel isolated at schools that emphasize sports and other competitions. Quizbowl is an activity at which these students can excel, and which makes learning fun.
But the unfortunate reality is that quizbowl can be expensive. As a result, this opportunity to bring out the intellectual best in students is lost at many schools that simply don't have the resources to sponsor a team. Bright students may never get the chance to play or the same incentive to keep learning and learning.
That is why this program is so important. QB4ALL allows less affluent students and schools to participate in an activity that can be life-changing. There will be college professors, scientists, physicians, and important authors who will one day credit quizbowl with helping them become the intellectual successes they are."
